Free up data space by storing history out of your main database
Keep your data base to a more efficient size by storing all past years history in a disk file before you purge your data.This should mean faster report generation because there is less transactions in your database.
Run the key reports that you want to retain information about and either print them to disk as a report file (.rpt) and or as an excel file. These reports will be found in your Reports Folder and can be copied to a CD for off line storage for later retrieval.Note that to run the report again using CI, the stored .rpt file must be resident in the Report Folder.
