InternCare: Meet the Fourth Batch of Interns from Swinburne University of Technology – Semester 2, 2026

RetailCare's Internship Program is now in its third year, embarking on its fourth intake, a milestone that reflects RetailCare's ongoing commitment to nurturing aspiring talent and creating opportunities for the next generation of professionals.

What began as an initiative to develop emerging talent and instil our CARE values has successfully evolved into a thriving platform that promotes fostering collaboration, innovation, and professional growth. 

InternCare: Internship Program 

The InternCare Program provides aspiring professionals opportunities to contribute fresh ideas, grow and shape their careers with hands-on experience in the real world. With guided mentorship from our RetailCare professionals, the program develops professional skills and collaboration, anchored in our CARE values.

Meet the Interns

On July 28th, we welcomed our Semester 2, 2026 cohort of Interns to the RetailCare team! We are excited to introduce them and to hear what they are excited about as they begin their internship journey with us.

David Chhoung

David is our Tech Intern, the very first intern for this new role at RetailCare. He is currently completing his final year of a Bachelor of Computer Science (Software Development) at Swinburne University of Technology and brings experience in software development, cloud technologies, and AI-driven projects.

David has worked on projects involving machine learning, IoT systems, data visualisation, and cloud infrastructure using Python, JavaScript, AWS, and Azure. Beyond his technical expertise, He has developed a strong work ethic through 4 years of part-time employment while balancing his academic commitments.

David loves to spend time in the gym as a self-proclaimed power-builder, he once barbell squatted 180kg and benched 110kg.

Lucy Brant

Lucy joins us as our Marketing Intern. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Design and Business at Swinburne University of Technology and brings over 3 years of customer service experience. Her studies have grown her passion for thoughtful design and meaningful customer engagement in various channels.

Through her experience in retail and team leadership roles, Lucy has developed excellent communication and organisational skills while delivering exceptional customer experiences in fast-paced environments. Her passion for creativity and business efficiency makes her a great addition to our Marketing team, where she'll be supporting a variety of exciting projects and initiatives.

Lucy loves to travel as much as possible and even went to 15 countries just this year! She will always say yes to exploring somewhere new.

More than just an internship, this program is our way of giving back by sharing our knowledge and industry experience with students in their ever-evolving retail technology landscape.
